Kuat Roof Basket Review - 2018 Toyota Sienna- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Sienna we're going to be test fitting the Kuat Vagabond X Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number VX201. This is also a two bike carrier and it measures 52" long by 41" wide, so there's plenty of space to work with to store your sporting goods equipment, your luggage, your camping gear, whatever you want to take out from the inside of your Siennas to make a little bit more space. It also has an extension that is sold separately, so you have even more space to work with. You can find that on etrailer.com. And it's a very easy process to install it. It simply clamps around your existing factory roof rack, like you see here, but if you have a Sienna that has an after market roof rack, it will work with aero, elliptical, square, and round bars as well.And it also locks into place so it's going to be secure. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014, Subaru XV Crosstrek, we're gonna be test fitting Kuat Vagabond X Roof Cargo Basket and Tube Bike Carrier, part number VX201. This measure 52 inches long by 41 inches wide, so there's plenty of space to store your gear that you wanna keep out from inside the vehicle. It does have two fork mounts up at the front, so, you can store your bikes up on the roof of your vehicle as well without having to sacrifice the space that you would need for an additional bike rack.It has a nice aerodynamic shape, and that coupled with the fairing that's installed on the front, that's gonna help cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive, although there still would be some noise eventually. Curt Roof Basket Review - 2018 Cadillac XT5- Video
Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Cadillac XT5, we're gonna be test fitting the Curt Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. This has a 150 lbs carrying capacity. It measures 41 and a half inches long, by 37 inches wide, by four inches tall.This has plenty of space to store your sporting goods, camping gear, whatever you wanna keep out from inside the vehicle, or just regular luggage when you're going on a travel.It does not come with a strap to tie everything down, you can buy those separately at etrailer.com, and with everything installed as it is, we're not gonna have an issue of clearance between our rear hatch and the cargo basket. As you can see here, there's plenty of space.It's very easy to install. It uses simply a U-bolt and two tie-downs 00:00:50. You wrap it up underneath here, take our metal bracket, put it on top, and we'll take our two turn knobs and install those.Turn it down until it's nice and tight. more

Inno Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota 4-Runner, we'll be doing a test fit on the Inno Shaper 80 Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number INXA568. This cargo carrier features 41 1/2 inches by 30 inches by 2 inches deep of usable space.To get it installed, you need to be sure you have a minimum cross bar spread of 20 inches and also like to point out that we can still gain access to our rear hatch.To begin our test fit, I'd like to point out that I've already got three of the brackets in place and tightened down, as well as three of the square head bolts installed on our roof rack system. I'd like to finish the other one together. We'll need to gain access to the channel here in our roof rack system. You may or may not have to remove your end cap, depending on which roof rack system you have. So I'm going to remove mine so I can gain access. more

This measures 47" long by 35" wide by 6" tall from this point to the top. It does have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual as well your roof rack system to make sure it can withstand those weights. What this is pretty much designed to do is take any excess you have that you can't fit inside your vehicle or to make more space for your vehicle, like your trunk is filled up, you need to put some additional luggage on top. This can also work with sporting goods equipment or camping equipment as well.How it attaches to your roof rack system, we have a kind of sandwich in between this bracket with the padding and this bracket up top. It does simply screw into place and it does come with the tool to do so. more

The Malone Katahdin Roof Top Cargo Basket enables you to carry a wide variety of accessories and free up space inside your vehicle, such as your luggage, your coolers, your camping gear, or even your sporting goods equipment. With everything loaded up and it in place where it's at, we have very little interference, if no interference, between our cargo basket and the hatch of our vehicle.It has a load capacity of 165 pounds, but always double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. We did the use Malone straps to tie our gear down, but these are sold separately, and you can find them on etrailer.com. We've gone a head and removed our luggage to show off some of our other features.For example, up at the front here, we do have a custom fairing installed, and this is actually going to cut down on wind noise and drag while you drive, and create a more aerodynamic shape for the cargo basket. There're several points along the cargo basket, both on the sides as well as the bottom, and this can act as tie down points for your ratchet straps, your bungee cords, whatever it is your using to tie down your gear.It's very easy to install, it simply clamps around your existing roof rack system. more

Malone Roof Basket Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner we're going to be test fitting the Malone Katahdin Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number MPG311. This cargo basket measures 61" long by 38" wide and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. It's very easy to install. It simply clamps around our roof rack system, as you can see here, and has padding around it to make sure your roof rack system doesn't get any scratches or abrasions when you install it. The two bolts at the top do require an Allen key, which is included with our cargo basket. Today we have it around square bars, but this will also fit around round, elliptical, aero, and most factory style roof racks. You need a minimum crossbar spread of at least 25" and you need at least a minimum of 8" from the rear hatch so you can open it up completely, which, as you can see, we're not gonna have any issue of clearance with where we have it set up right now. This is great for transporting a wide variety of accessories, such as your camping gear, sporting goods equipment, anything that you're gonna be taking on the road so you can free up space inside your vehicle. Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Cargo Basket Review- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket and Extension, Part Number Y07080-82. The Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Cargo Basket enables you to carry even more luggage than you would with just a plain MegaWarrior, adding about 22 inches to its length. Right now we have it loaded up with luggage, your bike racks, even tire carriers, but it can also carry things such as shovels, jacks, or even have a light bracket attached to it as well. It has all the same features as the MegaWarrior, starting with its barrier installed at the front which is going to cut down the wind noise and drag while you're driving. It also has this adjustable crossbar which can be moved along the rack itself to carry Yakima accessories such as the bike rack you see here, or a kayak carrier or ski and snowboard carrier. Today we're going to be taking a look at Yakima Load Warrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket with extension kit. Part number Y07070-74. The Yakima Load Warrior Extension Kit is great for carrying a wide variety of things on your roof basket, and freeing up space in your vehicle, or putting things up there that you simply can't put in your vehicle. Right now we have our bike installed with a kayak, as well as our duffle bag. This also has brackets for it available which are for shovels, light brackets, and spare tire carriers. Just be sure when you place these items onto your roof basket that they are secured properly. Now this is 49" long by 40" wide by 6" deep, and has a 150 pound weight capacity. With that weight capacity, you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. Now we already have three of our four brackets completely secured down. Today on our 2013 Ford Edge, we're doing a test fit of the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket. That part number is C18115. Now this is 31-1/2" long x 37" wide x 4" deep and has a 150-pound weight capacity. But you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We already have three of our four mounts secured in place. We have our fourth one here on the back passenger side. We have that spacer in place that is easily removable and adjusted in between the different bars to accommodate different crossbar spreads. more

Underneath, we're going to have another metal bracket that has rubber on the top to help prevent any scratches or abrasions from our bracket onto our crossbar. more

Today on our 2011 Mazda Tribute we're doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon XT Roof-Mounted Cargo Basket, that part number is: TH859XT. Now we all ready have this secured up most of the way. It's going to be 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by six inches deep and have a 150 pound weight capacity, though you do want double check your vehicles owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. We all ready got three of our four feet secured down and mounted. We've got our spacer here that's going to act as a bracket and a place for everything to sit on top of our bar. To adjust that, we loosen these two bolts here and we can tighten those down once it's in place. We'll take our U bolt, place that underneath. more

To adjust our brackets that are already installed we just loosen up those two bolts with our Thule tool or an Allen key that will fit that. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT. Now we already have our basket placed on top of our vehicle, we'll go ahead and show you how the last clamp goes on. Now one of the nice features is is that you do have four mounting points. Now these mounting points are adjustable so it's going to work with a lot of different crossbar spreads. We're going to take our u-bolts and we're going to come underneath the crossbar and we're going to come in and attach them with the provided wingnuts. These cargo baskets are perfect for getting any damp or oversized gear out of your car, that way you don't have to worry about getting the inside dirty. A nice feature of this cargo basket is that there's multiple tie down locations all around, and on the bottom. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima we're going to be taking a look at the CURT Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. Now we already have our cargo basket placed on top of our vehicle, we'll go ahead and show you how it secures down. First, you'll notice that we have our pad sitting on top of our crossbar underneath the basket. Next we're going to take our u-bolt and come underneath, and it's going to fit right into the channel. Then after that we're going to take our plate, line up the holes, put it on top. Then we have these wingnuts that we'll secure down. One of the really nice features of this cargo basket is as you can see there's multiple locations all around the perimeter and in the middle for tie-down points, so you don't have to worry about finding any specific spot. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2016 Nissan Rogue- Video
Today on our 2016 Nissan Rogue we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. Now we already have our cargo basket in place, and we have three of the attachment points already secured. We'll go ahead and show you how the last one goes on. I do want to mention when you put this on you're going to want to have this lower plate underneath the basket before you get any of your attachments put on. We're going to take this plate right here, and that's going to go right over top. There's two tabs that it's going to sit into, you line up the holes and it'll snap in place. Then we can take our bottom piece with the rubber facing up, come underneath the bar, and put our bolts in place. It does come with an included Allen key to tighten everything up. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Nissan Maxima- Video
Today on our 2017 Nissan Maxima, we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. Now, as you can see we already have our cargo basket on our vehicle. I'll go ahead and show you how we get the last clamp on. As you can see here, there is a plate with a rubber pad mounted right here in between the basket and a 00:00:24 cross bar. Next, we're going to take another plate and it's going to go over the top and you're going to want to push it on getting it secure into the slots. Next, we're going to take the bottom plate making sure that the rubber's facing up, come underneath, and we're going to attach our bolts. We're going to go ahead and tighten these up. more
